“Ruta (1)” is a vyshyvanka women’s blouse made of milky-white homespun cotton cloth by DNK Natsii (ДНК Нації), a Ukrainian brand that designs and sews vyshyvankas in Ukraine. The ornament is recreated from authentic motifs of Bukovyna, the region where embroidery reached the height of its flourishing. A straight cut with side gores, an underarm gusset and set-in sleeves follows the traditional construction.
