“Ruta (1)” is a vyshyvanka dress made of milky-white handwoven-style cloth (homespun cloth; cotton) by DNK Natsii (ДНК Нації), a Ukrainian brand that designs and sews vyshyvankas in Ukraine. The embroidery is done by machine in fine satin stitch.
This vyshyvanka dress has the character of a land where generosity and strength are encoded in the ornament. A straight cut with widening side gores, an underarm gusset and set-in sleeves gives it a classic, traditional shape.
The ornament of “Ruta” is recreated from authentic motifs of Bukovyna, the region where embroidery reached the height of its flowering.
The set includes a solid-colour sash (kraika) of your choice and an underskirt in your size for a complete look. Choose the sash colour from the last photo and mention it in the order comment.
