“Zakvitchana (1)” is a Ukrainian linen dress made of natural linen cloth in grey by DNK Natsii (ДНК Нації), a Ukrainian brand that designs and sews vyshyvankas in Ukraine. The embroidery is done by machine in cross-stitch.
A grey Ukrainian linen dress densely covered with embroidered flowers, a symbol of harmony, abundance and the strength of tradition. The traditional Ukrainian cut makes it a true Ukrainian traditional dress for women.
The ornament of “Zakvitchana” is recreated from the motifs of an authentic antique shirt from the Sumy region; the flowers preserve the ancient symbolism of fertility and beauty. Pictured: the dress with sash No. 10.
