“Blahovilna” is a vyshyvanka dress made of brown handwoven-style cloth (linen, cotton) by DNK Natsii (ДНК Нації), a Ukrainian brand that designs and sews vyshyvankas in Ukraine. The embroidery is done by machine in cross-stitch.
This vyshyvanka dress brings elegance and a deep ornament together in the natural shades of earth. Brown handwoven-style cloth, a raglan cut and a tasselled neckline give it a warm, grounded look that is rare among Ukrainian dresses for women.
The ornament of “Blahovilna” is recreated from the motifs of an antique shirt from Eastern Podillia. Pictured: the dress with sash (kraika) No. 10.
